Just reg'd, it has been a few years since ALC4, but rider #2069.
Am I missing it or with the site redesign did the old training pages which had the good breakdown of how to ease into training for those that haven't ridden go away? The new pages seem to have less information overall -- I was wanting to point them out to some friends considering doing the ride.

AIDS/LifeCycle SF "Fall Crawl" Series rides begin with Ride #1 tomorrow! Meet at the back of the Sports Basement building in the Presidio. Meet time is 8:30am. The "Fall Crawl" rides are Category 1 paced rides (8-10 mph avg- or a bit faster), and perfect for beginners. Join us! No one gets left behind.
