Best film of my life. in his plot there's everything (music, science, death, life, love, evil, etc.). It's a cult!

Best film I've ever seen! The Oscars were very deserved.

The film, i believe, was actually extremely overrated. It was okay but got exceedingly boring after the first 5 minutes.

Just wondering if anyone else is planning to watch DD in tribute to the 9/11 attacks this Friday night: I was initially introduced to this film when the Director's Cut was released on DVD, and when it was noted how the film was in theatres roughly a month before the WTC collapse. I didn't actually see the film until 2005 or so, but even then I was a bit freaked by the uncanny shot of the plane at the end of the film, and its similarity to the WTC hit. To this day, I cant not make a connection between the theme(s) in DD and what I'm expected to remember about 9/11.

Excerpt

Donnie Darko is an unclassifiable but stunningly original film that obliterates the walls between teen comedy, science fiction, family drama, horror, and cultural satire – and remains wildly entertaining throughout.
