I use 110 lb card stock. I wouldn't go much heavier. Prints generally also look better from an inkjet printer as laser has a tendency to flake a bit when creased. You can avoid some flaking (and get much nicer folds) by scoring along the lines where you fold.

You can score paper using a very dull knife (like a butter knife) and a ruler. However you accomplish the score it needs to be deep enough that the paper will want to fold along that line easily."
