1 aprile 2009 alle 13.25New relationships unveiled at CTIA

A little more than a month ago we were unveiling advancements to the OMAP platform at Mobile World Congress, and today, with the opening of CTIA, we have more news that will make it easier for developers to innovate on the OMAP platform, as well as bring a whole new level mobile experience to the user.

Symbian announced the Zoom OMAP34x-II MDP is the first hardware platform to support the open source code for Symbian Platform, specifically the Symbian^3 release. We see this as a means for any one to get up and running on Symbian using the OMAP architecture. Support on Zoom 2 will make it easier to develop applications and spark innovation within the broad community of open-source Symbian developers. Check out what Symbian has to say in their blog. Ready to get started now? You can order your Zoom II today.

Recognizing the need to deliver a PC-like browsing experience, TI and Adobe announced that the OMAP platform is going to support the optimized Abobe Flash Player. What does that mean? Any Flash content that you can access, view and experience on your PC, you will be able to do the same on your mobile device. With all the Flash content available, the experience will be seamless. For all you developers out there - this will be supported on the Zoom 2 as well. What kind of application will you create?
