Natalie Saw Ashkenazy conduct the Sydney Symphony Orchestra playing Prokofiev at the Sydney Opera House in November and was delighted to hear his work return to its Russian roots. Well worth the wait having seen him previously in Australia a few years ago. Prokofiev's First and Final, I hope not the last Russian story for Askenazy to share through music.

Thomas Your recording of Beethoven's "Emperor Concerto" is my favorite. I had listened to you practicing at Ellen Masaki's house many years ago when I was a student of hers. Her funeral service was this past Monday. The world has lost a great ambassador of music and a great person.
