Your $28 per month commitment will help us change the life of your sponsored child and your life will likely change too! Millions of children suffer from the devastating loss of one or more parents and now live with little hope. As a Save the Children child sponsor, you’ll help us provide things like the opportunity for a good education, clean water and access to health care.

Most importantly, you can help bring hope to a child who needs to know they’re not alone — or forgotten. Within weeks, you’ll receive a sponsorship package with your child’s photo and personal story. Through regular progress reports and updated photos, you’ll see your sponsorship dollars hard at work.

Procter & Gamble's Safeguard brand and Save the Children partner to reach 100 primary schools in Pakistan through a school health and hygiene project.

According to UNICEF Pakistan, "about 80% of all major diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, typhoid, hepatitis are due to unsafe drinking water, inadequate sanitation and poor hygiene." The incidence of disease is greater in developing countries such as Pakistan, where a large fraction of the population is living in extreme conditions of poverty, with an improper sewage disposal system and inadequate sanitation facilities in public places including hospitals, health centers and schools and unavailability of clean water. According to the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics, 30% of the Pakistani population has no access to toilets.
